The Blog

welcome to the NEW danielle hatcher photography

If you frequent my website and/or the blog, you’ve noticed some pretty big changes around here this year.  I am so, so, SO excited to officially introduce my new home on the internet.  I worked with Rachel Nielsen design for a complete website + brand refresh, and she is just simply amazing to work with!!!  Not only did she overhaul the front end of my site, but she did a ton of work on the back, too – streamlining my booking and contracts process, embedding forms, redirecting email addresses, you name it!  I could not be happier with her and the amazing changes and updates she helped me make!

For this revamp of my site, I was very excited to make some big changes.  This year I decided to go in a more focused route with my work so I am no longer booking full-day weddings.  It’s a bittersweet decision for sure… I LOVE capturing love, and the couples I’ve had the chance to work with have been amazing to say the least.  But I have decided to only book a VERY limited number of small, intimate weddings up to 4-5 hours in duration.  This gives me a lot more time to spend with my growing family, and also opens me up for a another big change and that is…

I am now specializing in lifestyle/newborn and family portraiture.  (YAY!)  I am so excited for this change because now I can focus my efforts and creativity in one area. I  know that the brides and weddings that I *do* book are going to be perfect for me and that they will want an emphasis on family and togetherness.

So, with that said, I wanted my new site and the changes we made to feel fun, fresh and authentic.  I want the focus to be on families and their love and real moments captured in my client’s homes.  After bouncing a few template ideas around with Rachel, we decided to keep the ProPhoto format (which I feel like I’ve had forever and love – why fix something that isn’t broken, right?) and we went with the Little Forest template, by Red Met Yellow.  It is the perfect fit for me and I love it.  I am so excited and know that big things are in store!

And while you’re here, take a look around the new site… I’ve got a refreshed “About Me” page with a hidden little section that highlights some of my favorite things.  We added a “Raves + Reviews” page and overhauled the “Session Rates” page (don’t worry… my rates are the same, it’s just a new fun look).  Even my contact form and blog got a little face lift!  I just love everything about my fun new site, and I am so excited about what’s to come!

As always, thanks for being here!  XOXO
