stomping grounds | roseville family photographer

I had so much fun photographing this sweet family a couple of weeks ago.  When mom + I were in the planning stages of their session, she said she wanted a location that was still in bloom, maybe even with flowers, but definitely green and lush.  Buuuuuut that’s kind of hard to do in the middle of July coming off the heels of one of the biggest droughts our state has ever seen.  I suggested a couple of places that might still be green, some of them kind of far away.  One of those places was the UC Davis arboretum.  When mom wrote back and said she went to school there I lit up inside, because it’s my alma matter too!  She said if we shot there she’d also like to shoot at a building on campus called “The Death Star.”  It’s this super awesome architectural building that houses all of the social sciences on campus.  I knew EXACTLY where she was talking about and was so excited to shoot there.  So we met on campus for a little exploring of the concrete jungle… and then after a quick wardrobe and location change we drove over to the arboretum.  We had a blast and the pictures show it.  Here are a few (OK, A LOT!) of my favorites from our time together.  As always, thank you for being here.  XOXOX
