best friends | roseville children's photography

I took both my kids out to take some Valentine photos the other day (mostly for my son who is doing a Valentine exchange at preschool next week).  I was also scoping out a new location that I’m planning on using for an upcoming session.  The sun was high in the sky but we still had lots of fun taking pictures.  They were actually really into it – I brought lots of fun props for them to use, and I think that helped.

My favorite photo of the day, though, isn’t one of the ones with the Valentine props and big cheesy grins.  My favorite photo of the day was actually an impromptu shot I got of them up on a great hill.  My husband walked them both up there and I snapped this shot.  I think this one will be getting a very prominent place in the house.  Blown up.  Big.  On canvas.  I’m in love with it.

I’m so glad these two have each other as built-in best friends.  Growing up as an only child I really missed out on this sibling bond.  Sure, they fight, and argue over toys… and I’m sure we’ve only seen the beginning of it.  But at the end of the day, they still run to give each other hugs and kisses before bedtime.  It makes my heart melt into a puddle right before me.  I love them oh so much.
