just go with it | bucerias trip, 2015

I mentioned on my Facebook page recently that things have been quiet for a while around here.  The last bit of April was craziness.  GOOD crazy, but crazy nonetheless.  First I took all three kiddos (BY MYSELF) to visit family in Southern California.  Two days after we returned from So Cal, our middle child celebrated her 5th birthday with a Frozen-themed-bouncy-place party.  Two days after that?  My husband and I headed to Bucerias… the most amazing little city on the west coast of Mexico, for 8 days of fantastic fun with 4 other couples.  It was a trip unlike any other that we’ve ever had.  We had some days filled with golfing and shopping and ziplining excursions.  Then we had other days with zero on the calendar, save for a 60-minute massage on the beach.  The best of both worlds, really.  The city is just north of Puerto Vallarta, and the villa we rented was named Hacienda Camino al Mar (found on VRBO).  We had days chock full of sun bathing at the pool, and late nights filled with roaring laughter and card games of Hand & Foot and Scum.  At the end of the trip, we weren’t quite ready to go home but missed our kiddos so much.  We decided it would have been perfect if we’d asked the sitter to stick them all on a plane to join us for another week at the villa.  That would have really made the trip complete!  But, all good things must come to an end, as they say.  So we boarded the plane back to the US.  Now all I have are our amazing memories, and my photos (some of my favorites are below).  Can’t wait for the next stamp in our passports!  As always, thanks for being here.  XOXO

One our last night there, we all headed down to the beach to watch the sunset.  This was one of my favorite parts of the trip.  So awesome watching the sun dip below those mountains.

And what’s a big trip without a whole lot of iPhone photos?!  Here are some that I shared on Instagram…
